Kalkaska Post troopers arrested a suspect for domestic assault after a foot chase and canine team track in Kalkaska County.
The troopers were assisted by a Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Office deputy, who spotted and pursued the suspect into the woods. The deputy was injured while in pursuit of the suspect, but was treated and released from the hospital.
A mile and a half into a canine team track, dispatch received a 911 call in which the caller stated a man was knocking on doors and requesting a ride to the South Boardman area. Troopers responded and confirmed it was their suspect. He was arrested without incident.
