On Sunday, Jan. 1, an officer from the Gaylord Police Department was called to investigate an unresponsive 18-year-old woman. It was later determined the woman had died from a heroin overdose.
The investigation of the woman’s death led to the heroin dealer’s house. A Michigan State Police canine team searched the house on Jan. 2 and found 222 bindles of heroin and $1,000.
The 31-year-old homeowner was lodged in jail and faces multiple drug felony charges, including delivery causing death.
