Officers work together to stop B&Es – March 29, 2010

Richmond Post troopers were dispatched to a breaking and entering (B&E) alarm at a gas station.  When the troopers confirmed the alarm was valid, they  immediately contacted the Chesterfield Township Police Department to ask them to monitor I-94 for a previously identified suspect vehicle.  A dark-colored Jeep was believed to be involved in a number of smash-and-grabs in northern Macomb County along the I-94 corridor in the previous weeks.  Chesterfield Township officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle within minutes, finding approximately 200 packs of cigarettes and the cash drawers from the gas station.
