Lansing area B&Es solved – Feb. 25, 2010

A Lansing Post trooper has been investigating several breaking and entering (B&E) complaints that occurred in Eaton County over the past several weeks.  A witness identified a suspect vehicle and that information was shared area law enforcement. The Meridian Township Police Department and the Ingham and Eaton County Sheriff’s Departments responded that the suspect vehicle also matched the suspect vehicle in B&Es they were investigating.

Once the suspect was identified, troopers worked with the MSP First District Fugitive/Surveillance Team to serve a search warrant on the suspect’s residence. Numerous items of stolen property were recovered, linking the suspect to at least 11 B&Es in two counties.  The suspect is being charged with several counts of home invasion and carrying a concealed weapon, with additional charges pending.
