The Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad and the Grand Rapids office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement have been investigating two suspects from the Lansing area since 2007 for narcotics trafficking. On this date, a search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence, resulting in the seizure of 9.2 pounds of marijuana, 15.56 ounces of cocaine, 6.2 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, scales, packaging materials, three long guns and one handgun.
The suspect was lodged on state charges of felony firearm, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute psilocybin. Grand Jury subpoenas and federal prosecution will be forthcoming. Other agencies assisting in the investigation include the Lansing Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
