Investigators from the Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (BAYANET) assisted detectives from the Mt. Pleasant Post with surveillance of a breaking and entering suspect. Detectives located the suspect’s girlfriend’s vehicle in Midland, and followed it back to the Mt Pleasant area. After gathering sufficient information to obtain a search warrant for the car and an apartment, the officers served the warrant and seized a large amount of stolen property, including flat-screen televisions, video game systems, jewelry, money, and other electronic items.
The chief suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm at the time of arrest. Investigators believe 8 – 10 breaking and entering complaints will be cleared with this arrest.
