A federal grand jury has indicted 11 Saginaw residents stemming from joint investigations conducted by the Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (BAYANET). The charges include: Felon in Possession of Firearms, Dealing in Firearms Without a License, and Possession with Intent to Distribute marijuana, crack cocaine, powder cocaine and heroin.
During the investigations, 15 firearms were recovered, and over a half-kilogram of crack cocaine and 20 pounds of marijuana were seized.
On December 10, a warrant sweep was conducted and eight of the subjects were arrested and turned over to the U.S. Marshals in Bay City. Three subjects remain at large and additional indictments are pending. The MSP Third District Fugitive and Hometown Security teams and the U.S. Marshals Service assisted in the arrest warrant sweep.
