MSP officers arrested four suspects on felony charges ranging from food stamp fraud and fraudulent use of financial device to conspiracy and racketeering, which is a 20-year felony. The arrests were the result of three search warrants conducted as part of an ongoing undercover investigation into illegal food stamp transactions for cash at a party store in Detroit. To date, this investigation has revealed over $200,000 in fraudulent food stamp transactions. The investigation involves the MSP Bridge Card Fraud Team, Tobacco Tax Team, Identity Theft Team and agents from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Uniform troopers from the Detroit and Metro North posts assisted with the execution of the search warrants.
